“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. “

Hello again from Homestead Bible Camp! We hope that you have had a great year filled with many blessings! However, If your year was less than stellar, consider the verses above. Being a Christian seems to become harder everyday. We are in a constant battle with worldly things. To be frank, it can be tiring and confusing! Luckily, we can find answers and rest in the Bible. Our theme this summer is “The Race”. This passage in Hebrews tells us that a race has been set before us. Races are physically challenging and demand discipline to complete. We hope that this summer we can prepare our campers with biblical knowledge and discipline to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, to run the race, and fight the good fight all the way to the end. With God’s help, we can be an incredible light to this world! We sincerely hope you will join us for a great summer of fun, and growing closer to God!
